New Doctor!

Digby Eye Care Center is pleased to announce that Dr. Robyn Whynot will soon be joining our practice.

Born and raised in Liverpool Nova Scotia, Dr. Robyn Whynot graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Biology), and then attended the University of Waterloo. She completed her clerkship rotations for the University of Waterloo first in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan and then in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 2022.

She discovered her love of Optometry when she began volunteering at the age of 15 and then, for the next 10 years, continued working each summer for Dr. Levesque and Associates. She is ecstatic to be returning to her home province of Nova Scotia and is eager to be serving the Digby, Annapolis and surrounding areas.

New Member

Welcome to our new Optician Quinton.
Quinton has just recently joined our team following graduation from the optician program offered by Oulton College in Moncton.
Originally from the Annapolis Royal area, he spent several years in Halifax and Montreal working for an online contact lens dispensary. This led him to pursue a career in eye care.
Quinton worked at our Annapolis and Digby locations as a student and is excited to become a member of our team.

Coastal Optical Lab Acquisition

We are pleased to announce that we are now co-owners of Coastal Optical Lab. Coastal is a lab that surfaces semi-finished lenses such as Progressives, Straight Top bifocals as well as single vision prescriptions.

Being a co-owner of a surfacing lab will allow us to eliminate the middleman and offer the best possible prices to our patients.

Coastal Optical Lab Acquisition

Since the fall of 2007 we have been pleased to provide our patients with ophthalmology services in our Annapolis office. Dr. Robert Scott and Dr. John Tiani, both ophthalmologists, have been coming down to our office to provide their service locally. This has saved our patients a lot of traveling. We are very appreciative of Drs. Scott and Tiani’s commitment to our patients.

Announcement of new office location

We are happy to announce that in February 2007 we moved to our new, larger location at 208 Saint George Street across from the King’s Theatre.

Eyemaginations program now at 208 Saint George Street.

We now have Eyemaginations at all three of our locations. This is a computer software program designed to assist the doctor in educating patients on a vast variety of eye health issues. It is also assists when choosing eyewear by allowing patients to see in 3D available lens options and treatments.
